PINEVILLE, La. (RPSO) - On December 28, the Sheriff's Office took a complaint from the Department of Children & Family Services (DCFS) of cruelty to juveniles in the Pineville area.
The incident allegedly occurred on November 18, 2016 and according to the DCFS complaint, three children who were living at a residence with two adults, tested positive for narcotics.
DCFS notified Sheriff’s Detectives and upon investigation of this complaint, probable cause was established to obtain arrest warrants on the two adults, identified as Katie Meshell Bordelon and Stephan Deshon Matthews.
On January 4, Matthews was arrested and booked and on January 5, Bordelon was arrested and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center on Second Degree Cruelty to a Juvenile.
Both Matthews and Bordelon remain in jail on a $300,000.00 bond each.
