Alexandria woman shoots at man in vehicle

ALEXANDRIA, La. (APD) - On March 19, around 10:45 a.m., APD officers responded to a residence in the 4700 block of Hargis Street to a report of shots fired in the area.

When officers arrived, they found a 45-year-old man who said that no shots had been fired and no one had been hurt. However, officers then located a vehicle with a bullet hole in the window and a small amount of blood.

The man then admitted that he had been shot through the windshield of his vehicle.

Officers made contact with the suspect, identified as Alise Beauregard, 38, of Alexandria. She was placed in custody and allowed officers to search the residence and retrieve the gun.

Beauregard was charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder and was booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center. The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the arm and received treatment at a local hospital.
