ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - Senior Master Carol Rousseau from Master Rousseau’s Taekwondo in Alexandria is a World Champion in the women’s master creative weapons division in Taekwondo competition.

Rousseau competed at the American Taekwondo Association World Championship Tournament and Conference last weekend in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Sr. Master Rousseau won the championships by competing during the tournament year and earning points for wins in each division. Only the top ten in the woman’s master division with the most points can compete for the title.

Rosseau said that the competition was tough and fierce because she competed with the best top ten martial arts finalists in the world.

Rousseau also competed and placed second in creative forms, second place in XMA forms, and third in XMA weapons.

Rousseau said that it was an honor just to compete with the top ten competitors, must less place as a champion.
