Ellis Kitchen arrested again, for 61st time

ALEXANDRIA, La. (APD) - On March 19, APD responded to a report of a shoplifter at a business in the Alexandria Mall.

The officer arrived and made contact with the store's loss-prevention associate, who identified and detained the suspect. The officer made contact with and arrested Ellis Kitchen, 68, who is apparently homeless.

Kitchen had been previously banned from the store, and was charged with Criminal Trespass in addition to Theft-$750-5000.

This is Kitchen's 61st booking in the Rapides Parish Detention Center, and his 5th in the last three months. His prior charges include a 2001 conviction for Attempted Armed Robbery, and a 2001 conviction for Simple Burglary.
