RAPIDES PARISH, La. (KALB) - Three Rapides Parish police jurors have confirmed to News Channel 5 that Richard Karamatic, the executive director of the Rapides Parish Coliseum, has resigned. We're told they were notified last night.

Karamatic's resignation comes after previous reports that he and the Coliseum Authority had not been seeing eye to eye.

Police jurors Craig Smith, Theodore Fontaine and Joe Bishop told us that they were made aware last night, but Fontaine said they not received an official resignation letter yet.

We reached out to Darren Sigur, the chair of the Coliseum Authority, for comment, but he declined to give us a comment.

Karamatic was named executive director last May. His previous job was as a city administrator for Leesville.

This is a developing story that will be updated.
