ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - According to Eddie Ponce, the General Manager of Mi Tierra in Forest Hill, another location of Mi Tierra is coming to Alexandria.
The restaurant is expected to open sometime in February 2018. It will be 4,000 square feet, in part of the former Hastings building. Tuesday Morning took over the remaining 21,000 square feet earlier this year.
Some of the more popular dishes will be served, but the menu will not be identical to the Forest Hill location. Fresh guacamole and tortillas will be made in-house, and the "World Famous Tamales" will return as well.
The Alexandria location also plans on creating a display kitchen to watch the tortilla production, more street taco options, large build your own burritos and more focus on authentic Mexican meats.
Alliance Designed Group will design the interior structure.
