LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) - Police in Louisiana said a 12-year-old boy was wounded when a drive-by shooter fired once into a house.
Lake Charles Deputy Police Chief Mark Kraus said in a news release that the child was taken to a hospital immediately after the shooting Monday afternoon.
He told KPLC-TV that witnesses said a gunman fired once from a passing car.
The shooting occurred about 12:40 p.m.
The station said the boy's condition was unknown.
Its video showed yellow police tape stretching from the door of a brick house.
