Revolution Aluminum forced into bankruptcy

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - Revolution Aluminum LLC has been forced into Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Wednesday.

U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge John Kolwe made the ruling after creditors said they haven't been paid back. Last October, Revolution Aluminum asked the court to borrow nearly $6 million to pay off its debts.

Alexandria attorney Bradley Drell who represents the creditors says the next step will be "to appoint a trustee to remove Roger Boggs from management."

Drell also said the property will likely be sold or developed.

Revolution Aluminum, headed by Roger Boggs, was supposed to be an around $1.5 billion aluminum plant that would employ around 1,000 people.
