Westlake police seeking public's help in identifying two suspects

WESTLAKE, La. (Westlake Police Department) - The Westlake Police Department's Criminal Investigations Divison is asking for the public's assistance in identifying two suspects involved in the October 12 bank robbery at the Whitney Bank on Sampson Street.

The suspects entered the bank and demanded money from the tellers. The first suspect was at the counter and the second was removing items from an employee's purse. The second suspect found keys to the employee's car, which they used to escape. The car was later recovered a short distance away.

Both suspects were described as possibly Hispanic males, standing approximately 5'05'' to 5'08'' in height, slender to medium build.

The first suspect was last seen with a white long sleeve shirt over a black hoodie, dark blue or black jeans (possibly "Dickie"), dark blue or black (possibly "Converse") tennis shoes, dark ball cap with what appeared to be the "Realtree" emblem, dark-colored safety or sunglasses, thick gloves and a green paisley print face covering.

The second suspect was last seen with a red long sleeve shirt, blue jeans, dark colored tennis shoes, "Camo" colored ball cap, dark colored safety or sunglasses and dark colored paisly print face covering.

The suspects were armed with a semi-automatic handgun. They were last seen walking in a westerly direction on St. John Bosco Street.

Video footage showed a dark colored (possibly 2000 model) GMC or Chevrolet extended cab pickup truck, with possibly a spare tire on the left rear, driving east on St. John Bosco Street towards Sampson Street, in the area where the suspects parked the stolen vehicle.
