Generals Add Division I Transfer Kirsty Venter

ALEXANDRIA, La -- – Looking to restock top talent after the highest final ranking in program history, the LSUA tennis team signed senior transfer Kirsty Venter for the 2019 season.

Venter, a 5’3” player from Edinburgh, Scotland, played this season at Arkansas State University where she was part of the number three doubles team and manned the number six spot in singles for the Red Wolves. She was 6-9 in doubles play and 5-5 in singles in 2018, her junior season at ASU. Prior to Arkansas State, she also spent time at Boise State University where she went 12-5 in singles as a sophomore and was named the Broncos’ MVP. Back in high school in her native Edinburgh, she was named captain of the tennis team and as a senior was named all sports team captain.

Venter will be eligible immediately to join the Generals tennis team. She plans on majoring in communications studies at LSUA.
