WELSH, La. (KALB Sports) -- For the second straight season, the Many High School football team came up just one win short of making it to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. The No. 4 Tigers' dream comes of a state title ended on Friday night with a 28-18 loss to top seed Welsh Greyhounds.
A.J. Carter kept the Tigers close for much of the game with three-rushing touchdowns, however three second half turnovers allowed for the Greyhounds to seal the victory.
Welsh now moves on to the state championship game next Friday where the Greyhounds will face No. 6 St. Helena, who upset No. 2 Ferriday on Friday with a touchdown on the last play of the game for a 12-6 victory.
