NACHITOCHES (KALB) -- Natchitoches Central has parted ways with football coach Tommy Moore after one season.
"I appreciate the community and the fans for supporting me while running the program," said Moore, "I also appreciate the faculty that I had the opportunity to work with in my time with the school."
Reaching out to Athletic Director Dennis Breland, KALB was informed to contact the Natchitoches Parish School Board.
There is no word yet on if Moore's departure is related to an incident in which assistant coach John Daugherty was issued a summons after an alleged confrontation with a player, following the Chiefs' 53-7 loss against West Monroe on Nov. 3.
Having previously served as the offensive coordinator at NCHS, Moore was promoted to head coach before the 2017. The Chiefs finished with a 3-7 record overall and 2-4 in district 2-5A.
