NATCHITOCHES -- While most high school; graduates are preparing to head to all parts of the country to begin college, for newly-minted Northwestern State quarterback Aaron Howell, the transition won't be quite as fierce. A St. Mary's product, Howell's college football career will essentially pick up right where his high school career left off, considering that all of his home games in high school were played at NSU's Turpin Stadium.

Staying in Natchitoches for college was always something the Howell considered, and already that decision is paying off. The NSU freshman has already been on campus this summer, putting in the work as he and the rest of his new teammates prepare for the first Demons' football season under new head coach Brad Laird.
