Peabody hopes to avoid complacency in playoffs

ALEXANDRIA (KALB) -- For the first time since moving down to class 3A in 2016, the Peabody boys basketball team will not enter the playoffs as the top overall seed. But even as the tournament's second seed, the Warhorses are one of the clear favorites to be hoisting the trophy at the end.

To get to that point though, head coach Charles Smith is warning his team to avoid becoming complacent and expecting a birthright to the finals. The Warhorses' quest for a second consecutive state championship begins on Friday when they host No. 31 Sterlington.
