ROSEPINE, LA (KALB) -- Rosepine girls basketball coach Taylor Maricle has stepped down from coaching her team just days before the Lady Eagles play in the Class 2A semifinals playoff game.

KALB reached out to the Vernon Parish School Board. They say Maricle has left the school for personal reasons.

In her one year serving as head coach of the Lady Eagles basketball program, Maricle led Rosepine to a 17-12 record and No. 14 seeding in the LHSAA playoffs.

The Eagles play No. 2 Lake Arthur Thursday in the semifinals.
