Food Drive Information

KALB-TV needs your help with the News Channel 5 Christmas Cheer Food Drive.

Last year, Rapides, Avoyelles and Vernon Parish schools helped raise approximately 171,000 pounds or 85 tons of food to help needy families.

KALB-TV will use its broadcast facilities to make this a successful campaign again this year. The Tunica-Biloxi Tribe of Louisiana and Paragon Casino, in association with KALB-TV, will present cash awards to schools IN EACH PARISH that collect the most food in each of the education levels.

The News Channel 5 Christmas Cheer Food Drive runs from October 29 through December 20, and we ask each school to participate with us to collect canned goods for the needy of our community.
