Mike Magnoli joined News Channel 5 in August of 2007. Mike covers the military at Fort Polk and the crime beat. Previously, Mike was an Overnight News Writer/Associate Producer at WFSB in Hartford, Connecticut (Mike's home state). Mike graduated, cum laude, from Marymount Manhattan College in 2006 with a Bachelors of the Arts in Communications. While in Manhattan, Mike interned and freelanced at The Fox News Channel, 20/20, ABC News Now, and in local news, at WABC. Mike is excited to be in the South-- for the first time in his life. He loves news, going out to eat, and the warm weather. Mike's passion for broadcast journalism started when he was just a boy-- with a Fisher Price tape recorder. Mike says his favorite part of the job is connecting with the people he's interviewing and the viewers at home.
