Shreveport police have arrested two
teenagers and accused them of beating a Caddo Parish school bus
driver after he confronted them about a disturbance onboard the
bus.
Arrested were a juvenile, whose name was released because he is
a minor, and 17-year-old William Hogan. Both were booked on charges
of battery on a bus driver.
The juvenile was arrested at his home and Hogan was arrested at
Hamilton Terrace school, where he was a student.
Police say the high school students were causing a disturbance
yesterday when the driver, 60-year-old Fred Strong, stopped the
bus. The two students then attacked Strong, beating him in the
face.
Police say Strong suffered a black eye and swelling to his head
and jaw.
