Stumble It!Tonya Ravar says she is stunned and saddened by the murder of her cousin, 26 year old Jovondre Ravar. On Sunday at 3 in the morning, Jonvondre was walking to his car, trying to avoid an unruly crowd outside of a nightclub called The Bize Lounge. It’s located on Highway 1 outside of Marksville. Javondre was attacked, hit multiple times in the head with a baseball bat.
Detectives say this is the man who did it [SEE IMAGE]. He’s still on the loose. His name is Kendrick Scott, he’s 23 years old from Lettsworth and he has a criminal history.
Back in 2002, he was charged for his involvement in a second degree murder. Deputies say he was not the shooter, but a principal. Now the Sheriff’s Office says Kendrick is once again on the wrong side of the law. Detectives say, what started as an argument between two rival groups from Avoyelles and Point Coupee- ended in violence. Kendrick took a bat, wounded three and killed the one victim. There was even shots fired during the incident.
And according to the Sheriff’s Office and residents in the area, The Bize Lounge has been the scene of brawls and stabbings since it changed ownership last year. Some people we spoke with told me, it’s a place now for loud offensive music and rough behavior.
News Channel 5 tried to contact the new owners of the club. We even went to the owner’s house. The managers had no comment when our story went to air.
