Update: 3 More Arrests in Burned Body Investigation, in Avoyelles

Avoyelles Parish Sheriff's Office: 

Investigators arrested three people, Wednesday night.

Sheriff Anderson said the victim and all the suspects in this case knew each other for some time prior to the murder. The apparent motive was robbery.

The Sheriff stated he is confident all suspects involved in the Beaubouef Rd. Murder have been apprehended.

The investigation is continuing as physical evidence continues to be processed.

These are the latest people to be charged:

Previous Update:

Police have identified a burned body in Avoyelles, and may have possible suspects.

Deputies say 27-year-old Derek Desselle of Vick, Louisiana was shot in the head. After that, he was reportedly set on fire.

His body was discovered off Beauboeauf Road by some hunters, on Monday.

Police say a Marksville couple, 22 year old Matthew Conway and his wife, Ashley Conway, are charged in connection with the murder. They were arrested in Livingston Parish and both face first-degree murder charges.

Deputies say they don't know why the couple allegedly killed Desselle.
