Brooke Buford joined the KALB news team in January 2011 as a Multi-Media Journalist.
She comes to Louisiana from Baltimore, MD where she was born and raised. Brooke graduated in May 2010 from Towson University in Towson, MD with a bachelor's degree in mass communication/journalism and new media. She holds a certificate in broadcast journalism from the university.
Brooke gained hands-on experience in television broadcasting as an intern for both local news and at the network. She interned with ABC News "World News with Diane Sawyer" in New York City and "Good Morning America" in Washington, DC. Brooke has also interned for WJZ-TV in Baltimore.
Although Brooke is not from Louisiana, she has roots here. Her father was born in Eunice, LA and her grandfather was born and raised in Lake Charles, LA. She still has family in the state and is looking to make Alexandria her new home away from home.
