RPSO Drug Arrests

From the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office:

According to Sheriff Charles F. Wagner Jr., the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit made the following arrest after conducting investigations into the sale of illegal narcotics in the parish.

Arrests were made after an investigation revealed that crack cocaine was being sold at the Select 10 Motel, 2211 N.  MacArthur Drive, Alexandria.  Narcotic investigators from the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office went to the Select 10 Motel and conducted a search of room 531.  Upon entry of the room narcotic investigators observed xanax pills on the table and the occupant of the room dropped several rocks of crack cocaine in the attempt to hide them. 

Arrestee:  Bruce A. Williams Sr., 59 years of age,  Wisconsin Rapid, WI

Charges:  Possession CDS II, Possession CDS IV

Narcotic investigators also went to room 537 at the Select 10 Motel and conducted a search of the room.  No narcotics were located at this room but the occupant of the room gave the officers two glass pipes she had been using to smoke crack cocaine. 

Arrestee:  Audrey L. James, 45 years of age,  Pineville

Charge:  Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Narcotic investigators with the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office were conducting surveillance in the Levin Street area of Alexandria and observed drug transactions take place.  A vehicle would drive up and a juvenile would walk up to the vehicle, talk to the occupant and then walk over to a male subject.  The adult male would then walk over to the vehicle and make the drug transaction.  The investigation revealed that the juvenile was setting up the drug deals for the adult and sharing in the proceeds.  The juvenile was apprehended and released to his guardian. 

Arrestee:  Joe L. Hillard Jr., 32 years of age,  Alexandria

Charges:  Possession with Intent to Distribute CDS II, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile, 2 counts Contempt of Court
