Pineville Stabbing

From the Pineville Police Department:

On Saturday morning, the Pineville Police Department responded to 1224 Aubrey Street in Pineville. The Police Department received a report of a person being stabbed at the residence.

Through the investigation of the incident officers have been able to determine that Carl Stanley, 49 years old of 1504 Dupree Road in Pineville was at the residence of 1224 Aubrey Street. Mr. Stanley who is the victim and Tekela Rachal, 21 years old of 1224 Aubrey Street got into a verbal argument early in the AM hours. The argument continued until this morning. The verbal argument became physical and Ms. Rachal stabbed Mr. Stanley twice in the torso requiring to him to receive treatment at Rapides Regional Medical Center. Mr. Stanley is presently listed in stable condition after undergoing surgery this morning.

Ms. Rachal has been charged with two counts of Aggravated Second Degree Battery and detained at the Rapides Parish Detention Center where she awaits her bond to be set. Investigators are continuing to interview people that were present at the time of the incident to determine all of the complete information surrounding the events of the early morning hours.
