Tornado Safety Rules - KALB-TV News Channel 5 & CBS 2

Here are some rules for staying safe during a tornado.

1. After you learn that the threat of a tornado imminent, Do NOT Travel!
2. As soon as you learn that you could be in danger of high winds or a tornado, seek shelter. However, DO NOT Stay in Mobile Homes.
3. Stay away from windows.
4. Get to the lowest level of the building that you are in.
5. Seek the center of the building in a small room without windows, if possible. (i.e. a bathroom/closet/hallway)
