Natalie North

Multimedia Journalist

A proud native of Central Louisiana, Natalie North was born and raised in Alexandria.

Natalie joins the News Channel 5 Team as the Weekend Multi-Media Journalist. Natalie started her career at KALB as an intern in May 2010, where she learned about news and participated in several KALB promotions including the "KALB Catch a Winner Contest" and "Free Food Friday." After completing her summer internship in news, she worked in the KALB business office as Administrative Assistant. Natalie continues to work in the business office where she enjoys learning about the business of television.

Natalie will receive her B. A. in Mass Communications from Louisiana State University at Alexandria in December 2011, where she concentrated her studies in the fields of public relations and journalism. During her time in college, Natalie was very involved in several organizations including serving as President for Theta Phi Alpha Sorority, President of Lambda Pi Eta National Communication Honor Society, and Vice President of Circle K. While at LSUA, Natalie received several awards, including the "2011 Public Relations Student of the Year" and the "2010 Outstanding Student Organization Leader of the Year."

It was during her junior year at Alexandria Senior High when Natalie realized she would become a journalist. She participated in one of the first student-produced daily news segments, where she fell in love with the process of news gathering and producing. When she's not working, Natalie enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, and exploring the beautiful state of Louisiana.

Natalie enjoys reporting because she likes meeting new people, visiting new places, and listening to people's stories. She is proud to be a member of the News Channel 5 Team and to report on the many wonderful aspects of Central Louisiana.
