Hey there, Weekend Drivers! I hope that everyone has settled properly into the new school year, I know that I have! And with the school year comes less travel, so Weekend Drive will start showcasing more destinations in CenLa! Over the summer, our episodes revolved around our Weeklong Vacation to the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. Now, however, we will be Going all around CenLa and the surrounding areas to show you hidden gems right in your very own backyard!

Be sure to tune in this Thursday, Sept. 15 on Jambalaya and at noon (and also on Sat. Sept. 17th at 7:27am during the Saturday Today show) to check out our latest local segment! Weekend Drive has "Gone Wild," at Gone Wild Safari in Tioga, LA! Talk about a fun family trip! We had an absolute blast, feeding, petting, and being with the animals up close! (Maybe a little bit too close!) It truly was a "hands on" episode!

And for the following week, be sure to tune into another episode on one of the best seafood joints in all of CenLa, Tunk's Cypress Inn! Now Tunk's is great for more than just my personal favorite seafood, (Stuffed Red Snapper, if you were wondering!) but also offers a great atmosphere to check the Tigers games on the lake and on the big screen! What can beat LSU football, seafood, and spending time with your family? How about LSU football, seafood, and spending time with your family on the beautiful Kinkaid Lake? Yeah, that's right… And the winner is: KINCAID LAKE and TUNK'S CYPRESS INN!

P.S. I leave you with an outtake from our latest Weekend Drive: Gone Wild Safari… This guy really wanted to be on camera! He also likes eating the camera in that last shot...
