Nolan Crane
Multimedia Journalist
Nolan Crane joined the KALB news team in November 2011 as a Multimedia Journalist.
He is from Oakland California, and after high school he left home to attend Brigham Young University on an academic scholarship. Nolan graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah in August 2011 with Bachelor degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science.
While at BYU, Nolan anchored and reported for the award-winning student newscast ElevenNEWS for two semesters and worked as an anchor and reporter on BYU Weekly which airs on BYU-TV. He interned with KTVU, the number one newscast in Salt Lake City.
Nolan has covered every sporting event at BYU, including NCAA college athlete of the year basketball star Jimmer Fredette. He has interviewed Utah Senators Orrin Hatch, Mike Lee, and Bob Bennett and did specials on the Tea Party movement and General David H. Petraeus.
Before graduation, Nolan spent 2 years doing missionary service in Thailand.
