Matthew Riebow is a news producer at News Channel 5 & CBS 2. Hewas born in Tampa, Florida. His interest to work in television began in his middle school television production class. Matthew's interest in TV production grew in high school when he was highly involved in his school morning show.
After high school, he served a two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Lima, Peru. He believes he learned more during that two year period than anyone ever could in school.
Upon returning from Peru, Matthew obtained a job as a Production Technician for WFLA-TV News Channel 8 in Tampa and his decision to work in broadcasting was final. He thoroughly enjoyed working with the robotic cameras.
Matthew graduated from the University of South Florida with a degree in Mass Communication-Broadcast News. He served as the Executive Producer for WUSF-TV's news daily. He grew greatly as a broadcaster during this time and learned to love the producer's duties of putting a show together from scratch and seeing the final product.
Matthew joined KALB-TV in January 2012. He is very excited be in the Central Louisiana area. In his spare time, Matthew loves to be with his wife and son, and watching almost all sports.
