A complicated forecast is setting up for central Louisiana and it also means a lot of rain in the forecast. First, a warm front will lift through the region today increasing our clouds and our rain chances by the afternoon. The rain will continue through the evening and then come to a break from midnight to Wednesday afternoon. At that point, a low pressure system will move overhead bringing with it heavy rain as well as the possibility of severe weather. Despite the clouds, there will be plenty of spin in the atmosphere and we will watch for damaging straight line winds as well as isolated tornadoes. The rain is expected to last until Thursday morning. In all, we could see between three and four inches of rain between Tuesday and Thursday morning.
Temperatures will remain in the upper 60s to lower 70s for highs with overnight lows in the 50s. Temps will cool by next week.
