LC Three Points off Record in 108-70 Win Over Centenary

The Louisiana College women came within four points of setting the school single-game scoring record on Saturday. With the Lady Cats celebrating Senior Day, LC defeated Centenary 108-70.

With three more points, the Lady Cats (21-3) would have tied the 111-point mark set in 1997 in a win over Loyola.

On Saturday, it was all LC almost from the opening tip. The Lady Cats outscored Centenary 51-28 in the first half and 57-42 in the second and forced 39 turnovers.

Six LC women reached double figures in scoring on the night.

Senior guard Roslyn Wilmer had a 13-point, 11-rebound double-double to go along with three assists.

Freshman Skylar Chenevert (Glenmora, La./Glenmora HS) and junior Natosha Gottlieb (Alexandria, La./Alexandria Senior HS) were LC's top offensive performers with 17 points apiece.

Freshman Kaci Willis (Vinton, La./Starks HS) scored 14 while senior Shasidy Ludgood (Inglewood, Cal./Tusculum College) and freshman Kala Chenier (Bossier City, La./Calvary Baptist) scored 10 points apiece.

Centenary was paced by a 22-point, 11-rebound double-double from Vashni Sharp-Moore.

LC, which has already clinched the American Southwest Conference East Division title, will close its regular season on Monday with a home contest against rival Mississippi College.
