Throughout the rest of the week, we will see a good chance for rain. Two cold fronts will push through the area and there will be a strong southerly influence. A lot of moisture will be in place as a Warm & Moist air mass remains anchored over the region. In advance of a cold front that will push through on Friday, we will see a combination of variables that will provide a healthy environment for scattered showers and thunderstorms in advance of the approaching front. We will also see temperatures gradually increasing during this time. This means that by Friday, we will see temps getting into the 80's with some overnight fog coupled with a likely chance for rain.
Today, expect mostly cloudy skies to remain in place as a weak cold front affects us bringing a good chance for rain. We will be catching the tail end of this passing front. Meaning, any severe weather associated with this system will be well to the north of Cenla. This also means that the front will not clear out the warm & muggy air mass. So, we will continue to see conditions similar to today and the last couple of days until the next system moves through. Temps will climb into the upper 70's and lower 80's with muggy conditions and a good chance for rain associated with a passing cold front. Just over half of the viewing area will see rain today from this front and there may be a couple of strong storms in the area. Winds will be light to moderate and out of the South and SW.
Overnight, temps will be mild with some patchy, dense fog throughout the area. Mostly cloudy and muggy with a slight chance for rain and a light to moderate wind out of the SW.
After a front pushes through the area on Friday we will see clearing skies, cooler temperatures and very low rain chances.
So, after Friday's front conditions will improve and become very nice!
