LAFAYETTE----U. S. Attorney Stephanie A. Finley will
recognize 42 local, parish and state police law enforcement officers and
prosecutors from the Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana area Thursday.
The recognition event
will be held March 22 at 1:30 p.m. in the staff meeting room at the Lake
Charles Police Department, 830
Enterprise Blvd. The event will honor the officers for their support of the Project Safe Neighborhood program, (PSN).
PSN is a federal,
state and local program designed to reduce gun violence through education,
prevention and law enforcement activities.
Members of the following offices
will receive certificates of appreciation: Lake Charles Police Department,
Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Department, Vernon Parish Sheriff's Department,
Sulphur Police Department, Westlake
Police Department, Louisiana
State Police and the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney's Office.
