Louisiana's only national
forest is right here in Cenla, and it's a resource that's full of history---and
perhaps something more. Designated in the 1930's, the forest has more than 40 developed recreation sites, and more than 100 miles of trails for hiking, biking and horseback riding.
Staff Officer of Public Affairs
Jim Caldwell was in town Tuesday speaking about the rich history and outdoor
opportunities that the Kisatchie
National Forest offers
the state.
