Subtropical Storm Beryl continues to move toward the southeast coast of the United States. At 10PM CDT, the center of Beryl was located about 215 miles southeast of Charleston, South Carolina. Movement was southwest near 7 mph. Maximum sustained winds were 50 mph.
Beryl is expected to head toward Jacksonville, Florida Sunday night or Monday. Perhaps the most significant effect of Beryl will be drought relief. The storm is expected to bring several inches of much-needed rain. Beryl is not expected to affect central Louisiana.
