Mickey Shunick Update

Posted: Updated:

LAFAYETTE, La. – On Tuesday afternoon, the volunteer portion of the search for Mickey Shunick was indefinitely suspended, however the police investigation is still ongoing.

According to our partner station KFLY-TV in Lafayette, authorities said at a news conference that this suspension includes food, beverage and material donations of any kind, and any manpower coming in to participate in the search effort.

This suspension doesn't include benefits that are already scheduled to take place, officials say.

Lafayette Police Cpl. Paul Mouton says police are following up leads in the Shunick's case regarding the pictures of the two trucks and car that have been released. He also says they are following other leads in the he can not discuss at this time.
