ALEXANDRIA, La. - Quilts stitched more than two decades ago and five recently stitched quilts have a new home.
The quilts purchased by the Alexandria Museum of Art in the 1980s have been donated to the Arna Bontemps museum.
The quilts, known as strip quilts because they are made up of long strips of material, will become part of the permanent collection at the museum.
The museum's executive director Chad Bailey says there are plans in the works to put the quilts on display.
