ALEXANDRIA, La. - Alexandria police have identified the woman who was killed on Bertie Street.
Investigators say Derrick Pickens, 34, of Alexandria allegedly killed 33-year-old Ericka Davis in her home on Bertie Street. He also struck another woman at the home in the head and then attempted to attack a juvenile, but the child got away before he could do harm.
Pickens has been charged with one count of first-degree murder and two-counts of attempted first degree murder.
