ALEXANDRIA, La. - Fire investigators still aren't sure what sparked a blaze that gutted an abandoned nursing home in Wardville.
It started late Thursday afternoon on Bayou Maria Road, covering the area with a blanket of thick smoke.
Then about 4 a.m. Friday morning, the blaze reignited and crews were there again.
The fire is out now, but the State Fire Marshal's Office has labeled the fire an ongoing investigation.
There have been several arson fires in the Wardville area over the past few months, but no word yet if this fire is connected to the previous incidents.
