RAPIDES PARISH, La. – Cenla lawmakers continue to criticize the governor's veto of money for the Dabadie Prison in Pineville.
On Tuesday, State Treasurer John Kennedy told NewsChannel 5/CBS 2 that the veto was not only a bad idea, but it was a mistake.
Last Friday during a late night veto session, Gov. Bobby Jindal vetoed money for the lock up of the facility. Since then, he has been under intense criticism from many legislators who say the closing would take away hundreds of jobs from Cenla.
