There is a LPS (Low Pressure System) over the GLR (Great Lakes Region) with an associated cold front stretched south, through the ORV (Ohio River Valley) and into the Lower MS River Valley. There is a good chance for rain along this front as it moves East and begins to fizzle out. In the wake of this front a ridge of high pressure is digging in and providing clearing skies.

A LPS is fizzling out. This is providing us with clearing skies today. With high humidity values and rising temperatures, Heat Index values will climb as well. There has not been rain throughout the day on the Doppler 5 Live radar and there is not much potential for any, today. Expect a few "Fair Weather Cumulus" clouds coupled with warm temperatures.
There is also a cold front that is moving in our direction. It will fizzle out before reaching us.
For the rest of the day;
Expect mostly sunny skies with a few clouds possible and very low rain chances. Highs will range from the upper 80's to the mid 90's. High humidity values will put the Heat Index (Feels Like temperature) in the mid to upper 90's. Winds will be light to moderate and out of the South, becoming calm over night.
Expect fair skies tonight.
For the rest of the 7day planner;
Low rain chances will last through the end of the week as a weak cold front fizzles out before reaching the area. During the weekend, expect temperatures to climb to the upper 90's and near the century mark. This extreme heat, coupled with expected humidity will put Heat Index values near the 105 mark or higher.
TODAY...Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies and seasonably hot. Highs 89-95. SE wind 4-15mph. Heat Index values will be around 96.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT...Plenty of sunshine with a few clouds possible and pleasant. Lows 66-72. Little or no wind.
