PINEVILLE, La. – Gracie Specks, who served as the medical center director of the Alexandria VA Health Care System, will retire on July 29.
Specks will retire with 34 years of service. She has served as the director of the facility since 2010.
A native of Louisiana, she joined the VA system in 1979.
Her retirement plans include returning to Houston to be closer to her family, then traveling and working with nonprofit organizations.
An interim director will be named in the near future while recruiting for a permanent replacement.
