ALEXANDRIA, La. - MacArthur Drive was reopened late Wednesday afternoon after police responded to two major accidents that injured three people.
At 1:50 P.M., officers responded to auto accident on Lee Street and I-49 involving an 18 wheeler.
According to police reports, one person was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
About an hour later, police was dispatched to another accident on MacArthur Drive and Elliot Street. Police say two people were injured in this accident and transported to a local hospital.
The causes of the accidents have not been determined at this time. The names of the victims have not been released.
The cases are still under investigation.
