WASHINGTON — Louisiana Attorney General Buddy Caldwell said in a statement Thursday that the federal health care law intrudes on the individual freedom to buy health care insurance.
"The U.S. Supreme Court's decision to uphold a law that forces millions of Americans to buy insurance under a new federal health care act is deeply disappointing," Caldwell said. "We fought this battle to protect the freedom of American citizens from the overreach of the federal government and argued to halt this takeover of health care."
