ALEXANDRIA, La. – It was a spirited 4th Of July celebration at Fort Polk Wednesday night.
Country singer Gretchen Wilson kicked off the Freedom Fest celebration for a crowd of more than 15,000 people. Country rock band .38 Special was also scheduled to perform.
Many in attendance were the family and friends of the brave men and women who defend our country.
Freedom Fest is open to the public each year, as part of Fort Polk's salute to America's independence.
