ALEXANDRIA, La. - The 4th of July is a great day to spend quality time with family and friends. NewsChannel 5's Natalie North takes a look at the Independence Day celebrations in Cenla.
"We are barbequing, me and the family, enjoying this beautiful weather on the 4th of July," said Christopher Williams.
Williams and his family are celebrating Independence Day a little differently this year.
"Mostly on the 4th of July, we do a traditional thing at the house with the family. So I told my wife, let's just do something different, and go to the Splash Park, since the city made it so nice and beautiful now," he said. "So, I thought I would take them out to the City Park while I barbeque. We're not doing the traditional ribs and steaks this year. We're just keeping it simple with hamburgers and hot dogs."
