THURSDAY WEATHER SUMMARY

I have the reports from around central Louisiana-it's hot but some folks got wet.

THE HEAT CONTINUES

Temperatures Thursday maintained the high levels of previous days. Here are some of the observations in your town!

Hagewood was the hot spot with 102 degrees

Natchitoches, Simpson, Colfax, and Gum Springs all hit 100

The lowest reading today was a high of 93 in Simmesport.

That "cool" temperature at Simmesport tells me that the upper high is shifting off to the west as promised. The heat will continue the next few days before widepsread relief comes late in the weekend into early next week with highs in the upper 80s and the lower 90s.

RAINDROPS

About 20% of the area received rain today. Everyone said it was welcome and they want more.
