ALEXANDRIA, La. - The body of a missing Alexandria man was found this morning in Cotile Lake.
Last night, RPSO was told that Charles Lee Thompson, 63, went out in his boat and never came home.
Divers searched the area until about 12 a.m. Wednesday. At 8:30 a.m., they returned to the lake and found Thompson's body.
His boat was found nearby with the motor cut off. Investigators say it appears he had engine trouble.
Investigators are still unsure why Thompson went into the water, but said they do not suspect foul play.
