DHH Clears Pinecrest Of Abuse Claims - KALB-TV News Channel 5 & CBS 2

PINEVILLE, La. - Last month, NewsChannel 5/CBS 2 investigated claims of abuse at a Pineville mental hospital.
The family of Allen Nickel said they believed he was beaten by an employee while at Pinecrest Developmental Center.
Nickel's family got the police involved who turned the case over to the Department of Health and Hospitals.
Now, DHH says they investigated the allegations and say "there was no sufficient evidence to verify that physical abuse occurred in this case."
They say Nickel head-butted the wall, and that's what caused the injuries to his forehead.
