BATON ROUGE, La. -- The Louisiana state capitol building is getting a major facelift.
The Advocate reports that workers are ripping up floors, breaking through walls and removing ceilings to give the 80-year-old building a new look.
Nearly $15 million will also be poured into upgrading the heating and air system in the building. And, about $1.5 million will be used to fix the breezeway under the front steps.
Work is expected to be finished in January.
