ALEXANDRIA, La. - An Alexandria woman is behind bars Tuesday and charged for attacking an APD officer.
Police say they got a call about a reported shoplifter at a shopping center on MacArthur Drive.
When the officer arrived on the scene, police say 24-year-old Audrena Bowie attacked him.
The officer was taken to the hospital to be treated for moderate injuries.
Bowie and the man with her at the time, 37-year-old Kelly Morris, were arrested.
Bowie was charges included aggravated second-degree battery and Morris' charges included giving false information.
